Omega-3屬於「必需」的多元不飽和脂肪酸,無法經人體自身合成,這些脂肪酸是身體細胞的細胞膜成分之一, 並維持體內各個器官運作健康正常。由於人體不能自行製造,所以只可經由食物攝取 。

 

Omega-3多元不飽和脂肪酸包含 ALA、DHA及EPA三種脂肪酸。當中屬於長鏈脂肪酸的DHA和EPA對人體健康尤其重要。其主要來源,DHA含量最為天然豐富的是深海魚的魚油包括三文魚和吞拿魚,而ALA則可從植物中攝取。

Omega-3 有什麼健康好處?

Omega-3脂肪酸可有助維持心血管健康和舒緩關節不適,亦是維護大腦、行為及認知功能的重要營養素,對胎兒腦部發育尤其重要。Omega-3攝取量不足與情緒問題有關,令人容易低落、充滿戾氣和行為暴躁。
